“We realized how blessed we are taking part of this miracle that it’s called music and all other writers and bands inspired us and made the sparkle become fire within us, and how many memories we have with their music alongside…. This is how the idea of the album was born.”

SCARLET AURA’s latest album title „Memories“ describes the content of the album fittingly. The Romanians took radio friendly rock songs and pimped them with their own characteristic Heavy Rock sound. … Mainly the band gives the tracks on „Memories“ fat guitar riffs to make them sound even rockier and are presented in a different light. … They proficiently take some of the greatest Rock songs and play it in their own sound and style – without kicking the spirit of the songs into the dirt. Even bigger respect is deserved for SCARLET AURA’s version of Dio’s “Don’t Talk To Strangers”. The band shows a lot of courage doing this.

“Cover album with an exceptional singer.

…All in all, SCARLETAURA has achieved a really good cover album with “Memories”, which can convince with a successful song selection especially through the vocal performance of Aura. The “Do not Talk To Strangers” is not a failure, but the strongest track on the record…”

The Beast Within Me (single) – 2017

Serving as kind of a sneak peek of the band’s upcoming covers album, Memories, The Beast Within Me brings forth a new song and two covers in this single. The new track, “The Beast Within Me,” keeps the symphonic metal/rock palette mostly in check, but admirably tries to go a bit heavier with harsh vocals in addition to Aura’s clean presence. Some straight-forward heaviness to the riffs allow the vocals to feel more compatible, and while it’s not entirely original, it’s done well. Covers of “Don’t Talk to Strangers” and “If I Close My Eyes Forever” round things out. They don’t stray too far from the originals, but still work nonetheless. – Kyle McGinn

Dead Rhetoric

The single “The Beast Within Me” fulfilled its role, becoming a link between “Falling Sky”, marking a significant change in the band’s history, and the upcoming album “Memories”. Progress is obvious: the atmosphere is sustained from the first second to the last one, melodious bridges and roaring, raw guitars replace each other that makes the sound of the single closer to heavy metal.

Talking about cover versions of “Do not Talk to Strangers” and “If I Close My Eyes Forever”, I can’t help noticing the band’s approach to the reworking of these songs. There is not only the professional performance of rock hits, but also the feelings that Aura puts in every line. I was especially impressed with the live performance of “If I Close My Eyes Forever” – it’s incredibly emotional and powerful.

Falling Sky – 2016
SCARLET AURA

Composed by Mihai Thor Danciulescu

“Eleven songs are depicting a spiritual journey of the supreme surrender to emotions in order to reach complete enlightenment, but also tickle the ear in a somehow pleasantly disturbing way.  “Falling Sky” is not about falling. It is about rising. Our wings grew through hardships and this is a story of becoming, as we were inspired both by life and death and the shamanic eye in between. What we are singing about is our story and the story of everyone else who unleashes their true selves by burning up until they grow phoenix wings.” – Scarlet Aura

This female fronted band has one of the best female vocalist I have come across this year, Aura Danciulescu. Her vocals are melodic and entrancing. This album features almost 48 minutes of great melodic metal, of the eleven tracks there were a few stand outs to me. Track three “You’re Not Alone” showcases Danciulescu’s soaring melodic lead vocals, everyone has their moment to shine, however the final guitar solo in this song is momentous and powerful. … This album is overall very catchy, and I think any fan of melodic metal will find something to like on it.
